Narconon Ojai is a holistic, boutique rehabilitation program for clients looking to overcome addiction to drugs and alcohol. We pride ourselves on helping our residents return to a wholesome and healthy lifestyle, that includes the meal service that we offer our clients right here in our own kitchen, providing breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner 7 days a week.
We are a scratch kitchen looking for a cook with the following attributes:
- loves working with seasonal, healthy and fresh ingredients
- enjoys helping clients achieve happiness through an enjoyable meal that contributes to their health
- having experience being a private chef/personal chef is a bonus
- has very good communication skills, positive and personable. This is a forward-facing role and you will be communicating with clients on a daily basis
- keeps a clean and tidy workstation and cleans up after meal times. Is responsible for the sanitation of the kitchen and prides themselves on having a high standard of cleanliness
- can tailor menus based on clients food sensitivities and makes themselves aware of each clients needs
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
We have a limit of 6 clients at any given time with a complement of between 5-8 staff.
Sunday is our family visitation day and often we do provide lunch/dinner/snacks to visitors.
Our facility is run 7 days per week. We are looking for a cook to work a 10 hour shift, 2-3 days per week.
Must have a food handler's card or get one within first month of hire.
Looking for someone with 20 plus year experience.
Applicants must be reliable. All applicants will be screened for drug use as facility is drug and alcohol free.
COMPENSATION & HOURS:
Hours: 8am - 6 pm
Hourly rate: $20 - $25 per hour based on experience
