Strange Beast is a contemporary cocktail izakaya that is situated in the historic Bank of Italy building in Downtown Ventura, CA.
Our cocktail menu celebrates Japanese flavors, and our cocktails, sake, beer, and wine are best paired with our Japanese tapas prepared by the Michelin Bib Gourmand chefs of Sama Sama Restaurant Group.
Our menu is built for speed to match the pace of the busy cocktail bar environment. We are a small team so it is very important that we find the right fit.
