NASDA Phone Enumerator

This position is a part-time intermittent employee hired by the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) to collect data and perform other duties in the furtherance of the cooperative agreement between NASDA and the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS).

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Interviews: Perform telephone interviews with individuals, such as farmers and ranchers, to collect specific survey information.

Explain Surveys: Clearly explain the goals and procedures of surveys to participants to encourage cooperation and ensure understanding.

Record Data: Accurately record respondent answers into a data entry software platform.

Ensure Data Quality: Review gathered information for completeness and accuracy.

Answer Inquiries: Respond to questions from participants regarding surveys and other related topics.

Maintain Records: Keep accurate logs of interviews, schedules, and other administrative tasks.

Essential Skills:

Ability to represent NASDA in a professional manner.

Experience in multitasking in deadline-oriented work position.

Excellent accurate typing and data entry skills.

Excellent active listening and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Excellent internet connection.

Quiet private working environment.

Spanish speaking preferred, not required.

Work Schedule:

This position is a part-time position working flexible hours with a maximum of 30 hours per week.
