We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and organized medical records to ensure efficient patient care and compliance with regulations. Bilingual a plus.
Duties
- Organize and maintain medical records and documentation
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of patient information
- Retrieve patient records for healthcare providers and other authorized personnel
- Input data into electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Follow proper procedures for record storage, archiving, and disposal
- Experience with HIPAA compliance standards
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to obtain records
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare systems is a plus
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
