The Glen Tavern Inn is seeking a dedicated and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the property by performing preventive and corrective maintenance, responding to guest requests, and ensuring all systems, equipment, and facilities are functioning properly. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience in general maintenance tasks, and a commitment to providing excellent service to guests, team members and our wonderful property alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance & Repairs: Perform daily inspections of the hotel’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Address any maintenance needs, including repairing equipment, plumbing leaks, electrical issues, lighting malfunctions, and general upkeep of guest rooms, public areas.
Preventative Maintenance: Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to avoid equipment breakdowns, ensuring the longevity and reliability of all hotel assets.
Gardening and Groundskeeping: Water and maintain our lawns and gardens.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and basic carpentry.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), perform manual labor, and be on your feet for extended periods. The role may involve bending, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
