RESPONSIBLITIES:
Ensures that the Warehouse/Yard operates at peak efficiency by leading, organizing, and monitoring operational and
safety goals
Directs yard shipments and resolves logistical challenges by collaboration with Project Management Teams and Field
Supervisors/Leadman, transportations providers and suppliers.
Receives, inspects, and accepts items delivered to the Yard, notifies Project Management Team
Determines standards for quality control and verifies quantities and packaging before sending orders to the next
location.
Determines inventory volumes and warehouse capacity to maximize productivity, rearranging containers for improved
efficiency while allowing easily access and navigation between aisles
Inventories tools and miscellaneous supplies including supplies in cabinets, lumber, plywood, sand, cement, gunny
sacks and Traffic Control Equipment (including plates) ensuring usage is job expensed.
Small tool tracking including; jackhammers, pumps, vibr-plates, jumping jacks, etc.
Yard Planning & Layout with Resource Manager
Monitors small tools usage and maintenance regularly, and communicates to Equipment Manager maintenance
requirements
Coordinates with the Resource Manager the return of unused materials from the field to vendors or company inventory,
inventory list required from the field before return
Coordinates material and equipment movement with Resource Manager (Will Call)
Process “Will Call/Wish List” for projects
Back up to HCSS “Dispatch” as needed
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of construction/warehouse experience
Leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict
Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening
Exceptional time management and organization skills
In-depth understanding of industry’s best practices for the Warehouse/Yard
Comfortable with computer applications
