Boutique plaintiff class action law firm is seeking a highly qualified and highly motivated attorney to join its growing team. Attorney should be entrepreneurial and have strong interpersonal skills. He or she will be responsible for case development efforts, a significant part of this role will involve managing relationships.
Job responsibilities will focus on case evaluation and initiation. Specifically, the attorney will be responsible for filtering and evaluating a volume of ideas and referrals, and providing guidance on the merits of potential consumer class cases. The attorney will also be responsible for initial complaint drafting and related research, as well as interfacing with class representative plaintiffs for the cases. The attorney will then assist in transitioning the matter to the active litigation team and preparing discovery. Relatedly, the attorney will help the department organize its pipeline of new and active cases.
Requirements
Ideal candidates for this position will have graduated in the top 20% of his/her class; have law review or other journal experience, or demonstrated moot court success; and have 5+ years’ experience handling class action lawsuits. Current and former federal law clerks are strongly preferred.
Must have class action experience.
