Bonding Technician

Looking for a Bonding Technician to join our aerospace manufacturing team! In this role, you'll be responsible for joining materials using adhesives and bonding agents. You'll apply techniques like heat and pressure to ensure strong, durable bonds that meet quality and safety standards. We would love to find a candidate with some experience!Full-time: Monday - Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm Pay Range: $18.00-$25.50 per hour.Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, vacation, sick pay, and 401k!Duties/Responsibilities Prepare and align materials for bonding by abrading, cleaning, and laying out components accurately.Mix and apply liquid or solid bonding agents, ensuring precise application for optimal bonding strength and durability.Hand-laminate materials including carbon, glass, Kevlar, film adhesives, and core materials like foam or metal.Operate curing ovens, controlling heat, pressure, and timing to manufacturer specifications.Test and inspect bonded products to ensure they meet all specifications. Perform necessary repairs using rework instructions.Work closely with the quality department to verify product accuracy and with the planning department to confirm material availability for upcoming projects.Follow all safety procedures, especially when handling chemicals, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.Other duties, as assigned.Bonding experience in the aerospace industry is highly preferred!Experience reading and interpreting drawings, BOMs, and blueprints. Experience using die cutting presses, curing ovens, metal sheet cutters, and various precision measuring tools.Mechanical aptitude with the ability to check dimensions accurately and maintain high standards of quality.Must be able to communicate and interact effectively in English. Must be able to follow instructions, work well within a team, and maintain good attendance.Basic computer skills.Physical Demands: Job duties are performed in an open warehouse environment with a wider range of temperature variation than would be expected in an office environment, and frequent exposure to fumes and chemicals.Manual dexterity to handle small parts and hardware. Hand-eye coordination and vision (with or without assistance) capable of seeing small objects at a close distance. Repetitive motion of wrists, hands and fingers. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, with frequent bending, twisting, and standing in a warehouse environment. ITAR Requirement: This position requires the use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The candidate must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR.
