- Review technical drawings, CAD files, and specs to understand project needs.
- Enter project details into software or spreadsheets.
- Keep records of quotes, revisions, and project timelines.
- Update databases with material and tooling costs.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work with machinists, engineers, and supervisors to clarify requirements.
- Communicate with vendors about pricing, lead times, and availability.
- Help prepare and deliver job estimates to clients or management.
