Production Coffee Roaster – Second Shift

Location:

Oxnard, CA

Job Type:

Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (30-minute lunch included)

Compensation:

$28.00 - $34.00 / hour depending on experience

About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Production Roaster to join our team for the second shift in our Oxnard, CA facility. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for executing roast profiles with consistency, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the roastery. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned roaster who is passionate about coffee and thrives in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Roast coffee according to established profiles, ensuring quality and consistency across batches

Monitor and record roast data accurately

Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of roasting and production equipment

Assist with green coffee handling, including weighing, staging, inventory tracking, and organizing storage

Support quality control processes including cuppings and production checks

Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling and storage of coffee and ingredients

Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company safety and food safety protocols

Collaborate with production and roasting team members to meet daily goals

Perform other duties as assigned to support roastery operations

What We’re Looking For:

3–5 years of hands-on coffee roasting experience in a production setting is required

Deep understanding of roast theory, profiles, and production roasting workflows

Comfortable operating commercial roasting equipment and troubleshooting minor issues

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and general computer skills (QuickBooks familiarity a plus)

Ability to lift, push, pull, and manipulate 125+ lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks

Excellent communication skills

Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while staying accountable to production timelines, roast quality, and food safety protocols

Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage time effectively in a structured production environment
