Job Summary
Own day-to-day MRP execution in NetSuite for a high-mix, low-volume automotive/aftermarket environment across multiple plants (Robbins, E‑Z On, GAHH). Convert demand into a stable, time-phased supply plan; release/maintain Work Orders (WOs) and Purchase Orders (POs); protect service while reducing inventory and shortages. Serve as the single point of truth for what starts when, what’s short, and what must change.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments, including Inventory and Procurement, to ensure alignment of tasks, priorities, and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Requirements Planning / Master Production Schedule Execution
o Configure and run NetSuite MRP (demand plans, planning engine, time fences).
o Maintain planning parameters (lead time, lot size, min/max, safety stock, reorder points) with accuracy.
o Convert planned orders to firm WO/PO; manage pull-ins/pushouts and firming rules.
o Optimize material release timing to avoid both shortages and excess inventory.
Item / BOM / Routings Accuracy
o Partner with Engineering to keep BOMs, alternates, and effective-date cut-ins clean.
o Enforce ECO/ECN cut-in discipline to avoid scrap, rework, and obsolescence.
Shop Readiness & Floor Flow
o Ensure kits/materials are complete before each scheduled start; coordinate backflush vs. issue-to-WO strategies.
o Support Manufacturing Mobile/workflows, labeling, and traveler accuracy.
Supplier & Inbound Coordination
o Send forecasts/releases, supplier OTIF, and commit dates.
o Drive MOQ and lead-time reduction; open alternates and dual-sourcing where risk warrants.
Inventory Health & Policy Execution
o Apply ABC/XYZ policies and stocking strategies by site/plant; maintain reorder and safety levels.
o Identify slow/non-moving and aging materials; lead burn-down or disposition plans.
S&OP & Capacity Alignment
o Provide supply/capacity views for monthly S&OP (18–24‑month horizon).
o Highlight constraints, propose scenarios, and align on frozen/firm/planned time fences.
Data Analysis & Reporting
o Build/maintain saved searches, KPIs, and exception dashboards in NetSuite.
o Measure plan stability, past‑dues, shortages, supplier commits, and parameter drift; run weekly parameter audits.
Required Skills:
