Description (brief)

Prepares bank and account reconciliation for Many Mansions, its new projects and its properties, performs reconciliation of rent-rolls for properties, reviews and reconciles general ledger accounts for Many Mansions, its new projects and its properties, prepares financial reports for grant applications, grant draw requests and various programs, assists to prepare annual operating budget for Many Mansions and its properties.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Prepares bank reconciliation of bank accounts for Many Mansions, its new projects and its properties.

2. Manages credit card transactions for Many Mansions programs and properties.

3. Performs reconciliation of rent rolls for properties and posts related journal entries.

4. Prepares timely general ledger account reconciliation and analyses for Many Mansions, its new projects and its properties.

5. Prepares financial reports for grant applications and grant draw requests for various programs.

6. Assists to prepare annual operating budget for properties and loads into Yardi system.

7. Prepares documentation and schedules for year-end audit for Many Mansions and its properties.

8. Assists in preparing Many Mansions annual operating budget.

9. Prepares replacement reserve draw requests for properties.

10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Conditions:

CommunicationExcellent communications skills, including but not limited to, the ability—

To speak, write and read English fluently and articulately;

Ability to write reports and other correspondence. Ability to speak and listen and respond effectively with managers, customers and the general public.

Computer SkillsProficiency in computer and computer applications, including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

DrivingDriving is not required for this position.

Education and/or ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related business area and one to three years of experience in G/L reconciliation and entry. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles with ability to apply such principles independently and in a professional manner. Experience with MIP and Yardi software is preferred.

Leadership SkillsDemonstrated ability to work well with others.

Mathematical & Reasoning SkillsExcellent mathematical and reasoning skills. This includes the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, totals, and percentages. Ability to apply the basic concepts of math and bookkeeping. Ability to resolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited information exists, and the ability to interpret data and/or instructions. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written and oral form.
