Mobility Management Partners, Inc. (MMP) is a non-profit agency providing services to various public and private agencies with a mission to improve access to greater transportation options for persons with disabilities, low income, or seniors with unmet transportation needs. The services provided by MMP include travel and mobility training, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) eligibility certification, informational call center and community outreach.
SUMMARY
MMP’s Administrative staff are a key component of achieving our mission of improving individuals’ access to transportation options. The department provides administrative and back up support for various programs including ADA Eligibility Certification, Travel Training, Wheelchair Securement, and Community Outreach. The Program Assistant position is responsible for serving as the main point of contact for the ADA Eligibility Certification program, providing focused clerical duties and administrative support to the team as well as serving as back up support for other field projects, including possible travel to Los Angeles and Orange Counties as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process and complete program applications
Maintain and coordinate calendars with management and staff
Maintain appropriate filing systems
Perform data input to appropriate databases
Maintain appropriate workflow systems
Compile and send letters, forms, and other communications
Maintain flyers, handouts, and other media
Collect and compile statistical data
Complete and submit reports
Complete project audits
Respond to inquiries via phone, walk-in, email, postal mail, or fax
Provide support and resources to appropriate field staff as needed
Provide in-field support on other projects as needed (training will be provided)
Other program duties as assigned
ADA Certification Duties and responsibilities:
Processes the activation, updating and closing of ADA applications
Handles inbound and outbound Communication from all sources
Prepare and maintain a variety of required reporting and auditing
Assist with scheduling of interviews as needed
Other ADA duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum high school diploma or GED required, associate degree or higher desirable
1-2 years of Customer Service experience, including heavy to medium volume of inbound/outbound calls
1-2 years relevant experience working with seniors/persons with disabilities or in a related field - highly desirable
Transportation-related experience - highly desirable
Bilingual skills preferred–speaking, writing, and reading in English and Spanish. Ability to speak Mandarin a plus.
Excellent organization and time management skills
