We bid work from Orange County to Santa Barbara for mostly Public Works including school districts, colleges, hospitals, commercial buildings, government buildings, etc. We also have a 24/7 Service Division that does commercial repair and maintenance and Tenant Improvement.

POSITION:

We are seeking a full-time assistant to join our team. The HR team is responsible for onboarding, offboarding, training, and other Employee lifecycle items, benefits, payroll, and labor compliance with the federal government, state, cities, school districts and more. The Accounting team will use assistance in data entry, filing, tracking, follow up, and more.

This is a dynamic role that will assist in all areas.

Attention to detail and the ability to work quickly as well as independently and with the team while keeping information confidential are all required. This position will report directly to our HR Director and in addition work with various departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

(This position includes handling of sensitive material that requires discretion)

Administrate, track, and follow up with new employees’ onboarding paperwork and requirements

Process, file, and maintain all employee-related paperwork and information

Entering employment records into our database / making changes as necessary

Data entry

Running reports

Tracking information and keeping appropriate departments apprised of information

Communicate directly with employees, subcontractors, and contractors as required

Other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Full Time

Construction, Union, and Labor Compliance knowledge and experience is helpful

Knowledge of software being used is helpful: (BambooHR, SAGE 100 Contractor, and Procore)

Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, ONE DRIVE) as well as in ADOBE

Internet Savvy; Google and Related Software (Searches, Calendar, email, Google Groups, Drive, Docs, Etc.)

Ability to take direction from multiple people, prioritize and multi-task

Organized and strong attention to detail

Responsible, dependable, trustworthy, and professional with a strong work ethic

Self-starter & problem solver

Ability to keep information confidential

Able to work both independently and as part of a team

I-9 documents to prove authorization to work in U.S.

Able to Pass Background and Drug Screen

COMPENSATION:

Full Time

Pay: $20/Hour (up to $25 with experience)
