About Orchard Community Church:
Orchard Community Church is a vibrant, welcoming congregation committed to loving God, serving others, and growing in faith together. We are seeking a dedicated and organized Office Coordinator to manage the daily operations of our church office and support the ministry team.
Position Summary:
The Church Office Coordinator provides administrative and communication support to ensure the smooth operation of the church office. This person will be the first point of contact for members and visitors, maintain church records, manage scheduling and communications, and assist with ministry coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for phone calls, emails, and visitors
Maintain church calendar, facility scheduling, and event coordination
Manage church database, membership records, and mailing lists
Assist in coordinating volunteers and ministry teams
Handle basic bookkeeping and track office expenses
Maintain office supplies and oversee general office organization
Support Pastor and ministry leaders with administrative needs
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher) and/or Google Workspace
Experience with church management software (e.g., Planning Center) a plus
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Friendly, professional, and service-oriented demeanor
Prior office or administrative experience required (church or nonprofit experience preferred)
High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Location: Orchard Community Church – Ventura, CA
Position Type: Full or Part-Time (25–40 hours/week)
Reports To: Pastor
Compensation:
Hourly rate range of $28 to $32 per hour based on experience
Paid holidays and vacation time
