About Us:
Hueneme Veterinary Center is a compassionate and patient/client-focused veterinary practice dedicated to providing exceptional care for pets and their owners. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Veterinary Receptionist to join our team and be the first point of contact for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Answer and manage phone calls, emails, and appointment requests efficiently.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, surgeries, and follow-up visits.
- Handle client check-ins and check-outs, including processing payments.
- Maintain and update client and patient records accurately in our system.
- Provide information about our services, promotions, and products.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, inventory, and ordering supplies.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Address client questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Assist in keeping the clinic clean and professional
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in office administration or veterinary studies is a plus, but not required.
- Previous experience as a receptionist, preferably in a veterinary or medical setting.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and scheduling software (experience with IDEXX Neo is a bonus).
- Passion for animals and the ability to handle them calmly and safely.
