Tarantula Hill Brewing Company, founded in 2019 in Thousand Oaks, is a locally-owned and operated brewery that prides itself on serving high-quality craft beer and delicious food in a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. We are seeking a highly motivated and dependable Security Guard to join our team and help us continue providing exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate for this position will be professional, thorough, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You should have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to the safety of our building, staff, and patrons.
We are looking for a professional security guard to protect our premises, assets, and personnel. You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions. The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report.
To provide security, check legal and drinking age, refuse entry for intoxicated persons, and deal with aggressive behavior or non-compliance with statutory or establishment rules.
Responsibilities
Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
Furnishing clients with wrist stamps, bands, or ticket stubs to denote their rightful admission.
Inspecting clients' identification to discern their legal capacity.
Observe for under-age/over-drinking and outside beverages
Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
Evict violators
Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
Report in detail any suspicious incidents
Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
Steering clients to accessible amenities.
Maintaining orderliness and etiquette in all applicable vicinities.
Escorting unruly/abusive clients off of our premises.
Reporting pressing security-related matters to local authorities and your line Manager.
Skills
Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
Surveillance skills and detail orientation
Integrity and professionalism
High school degree
Job Type: Part-time
