We are a brand-new Fairfield Inn & Suites in Camarillo, CA seeking a dynamic and passionate Maintenance Supervisor. You will be responsible for maintaining the entire hotel property, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment with particular attention towards safety, guest satisfaction, security and asset protection.

Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to all safety requirements of Marriott and hold safety meetings for maintenance/all employees

Adhere to policies outlined in Employee Handbook

Adhere to and ensure compliance with all Marriott brand standards, including brand Quality Inspections

Promptly address work order requests according to maintenance priorities

Maintain the maintenance staff weekly schedule

Perform electrical repairs (appliances, circuits, equipment and fixtures); plumbing repairs (water and sewage systems); and carpentry repairs (structural framing and finish work)

Repair or replace as needed; floors, wall vinyl, glass, drapes

Painting, both interior and exterior

Light repair of roofing, concrete, and masonry

Replacement and re-keying of lock assembles

Maintain accurate and current records for maintenance performed on rooms and other areas of the property, including periodic and non-routine grounds activities

Promptly and conclusively prepare rooms for occupancy

Maintain successful communication with other departments, including Housekeeping, Front Desk, Admin

Have reliable knowledge, supported by maps, of all keys, utility routing and cut-offs, including water, gas, sewer, electrical, telephone and Cable TV

Inventory control and procurement of supplies

Maintain equipment manuals and parts lists on a current basis

Solicit and manage relationships with vendors, fulfill bidding processes

Be available for emergency scheduling, weekend and holiday coverage when needed

Supervise all maintenance related projects and ensure that tasks are routinely inspected

Train and maintain certification for any/all applicable requirements, per County/State/Federal law

Train and maintain certification for handling of toxic substances such as asbestos, as required

Qualifications & Requirements:

Effective leadership skills and a strong work ethic

Good customer service skills

Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously

Professional disposition and appearance - proper uniform and well groomed

Ability to show initiative and make decisions

Ability to delegate duties to members of maintenance team

Must be adaptable and flexible to change including a flexible work schedule

Ability to remain calm and assist in the event of an emergency

Ability to work under varying weather conditions

Ability to make quick decisions and possess good judgment

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work with power tools

Communication Skills:

Applicant must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
