Are you a skilled estimator with a passion for construction and project management? We're looking for a dynamic individual to join our team at Hartigan/Foley General Building Contractors, Inc. As a general contractor specializing in commercial and high-end residential projects, we value teamwork, expertise, and a proactive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating: Prepare accurate and detailed takeoffs using industry-standard software.
Project Management: Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
Client Interaction: Collaborate closely with clients to understand project requirements and provide regular updates.
Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive bids and manage relationships.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in creating project budgets and track expenditures to ensure profitability.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and generate
reports as required.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in takeoff software, Smartsheet, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Experience in creating schedules using Gantt charts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach to challenges.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Ability to thrive in a small team environment with a "can-do" attitude and a willingness to pitch in where needed.
Qualifications:
A minimum of five years of experience in estimating and project management is required.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
