Small guitar company needs a guitar tech to help with electric guitar assembly.
Ideally looking for a person who has some experience as a guitar tech, or learning to become a guitar tech, or has 7+ years of playing electric guitar and enjoys working alone to get the job done. Attention to detail and being careful are extremely important. Plan to be working on 200-250 guitars per year.
Our electric guitars arrive from China and need fretwork (level, crown, polish) setup, and various hardware and electronics changes and some modifications. You will also be soldering, using hand tools, buffing and polishing and sanding.
You will be working from our warehouse, located in Westlake Village (We are very close to Guitar Center Corporate Headquarters in Westlake Village, CA). If you have tools at home, then the possibility to work from home on some days will be considered. Salary will be competitive and based on your experience and availability.
Currently not interested in someone who runs their own guitar tech business who is looking for additional work on the side. However, open to discussing negotiated rates for adding 100-150 guitars per year to your workflow.
