Overview:
Metal fabrication company located in Oxnard is seeking an experienced metal fabricator and welder. The ideal candidate will be a self motivated individual, capable of creative problem solving and tackling challenging fabrication activities.
New learning opportunity available on new IPG laser welding machine. Must be experienced in TIG welding of aluminum, brass, steel and stainless materials (written and skills test required). Also capable of high quality finishing work with a high attention to detail. Must be clean and organized and be able to work in a deadline-driven environment. Other fabrication skills and ability to adapt to a wide range of projects are a plus.
Responsibilities:
Fiber laser and TIG weld thinthick gauge aluminum, brass, steel and stainless materials;
Finish products using brush, grind or sanding tools;
Set-up and operate resistance (spot) welding equipment is a plus;
Maintain welding equipment and machinery as required;
Regular use of a variety of both hand-held & motorized tools & machinery as required.
Operate mitre saw to cut aluminum extrusions
Assemble various extrusions
Use PEM serter press to attach various fittings
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience in fabrication;
Experienced in TIG welding of aluminum, brass, steel and stainless materials;
Knowledge of filler material for aluminum, stainless steel and steel alloys;
Knowledge of welding sequences, fixtures and procedures;
Position will require standing for extended periods, lifting of up to 50 pounds, and regular squatting, kneeling, climbing, and walking required.
Compensation:
$20$30 Depending on Experience, Certifications and skill level, Plus benefits
