We are Looking to for ONE residential Service technician
Qualifications
Southland Heating and Air has an immediate need for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Experienced Residential Career HVAC Service Technician.
The successful candidate must be able to work efficiently with great attention to detail, should have exceptional multi-tasking skills and be organized and able to perform in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to repair and honestly diagnose, have the ability to sell a repair or new system.
Applicant must be technically skilled, detail-orientated, and an expert communicator
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work with high degree of integrity and promote positive company image.
Analytical, Focused on Quality, and Results-driven
Excel within a team environment and willing to support all areas of our business
Satisfactory passing of mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background check
Valid driver's license, with minimal DMV infractions
3 - 5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus
Responsibilities
Must be available to work full shifts plus overtime
Technician must prioritize customer satisfaction and safety
Applicant will be responsible for performing new customer trouble calls, maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs
Our ideal candidates will be a professional and have excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
Operate a variety of hand and power tools to inspect, repair, and conduct maintenance on air conditioning systems, furnaces, coils, and compressors including ductless systems
Demonstrate respect and compassion when communicating with clients on work performed and on recommendations for repairs or replacement
Document service performed and recommendations made by completing applicable forms, reports, logs, and/or records
Complete all tasks in accordance with Southland standards
Update job knowledge by participating in paid educational opportunities (internal and/or external)
Meet sales goals and metrics
Experience in setting up systems
Hands-on experience in brazing, zoning, mini splits, Heat pumps
Experience with all types of HVAC systems and how each component within the system operates; Experience with overall operations of the system as a whole
Occasionally required to lift and/or move objects 10-75 lbs
Frequent standing, squatting, sitting for extended periods of time
