About us:

We are an exclusive at home nail service for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and small animals servicing the major cities in Ventura County. While other businesses offer full-service baths and grooms, our focus is providing our clients with a convenient nail care routine that we provide at home where they are most comfortable.

We believe good nail care is essential to a good quality of life, but not everyone is able to provide this service safely. Because of our commitment to providing safe and comfortable nail care, we have a no quick guarantee policy. If we quick a client, the service is free.

We love meeting new friends and try to be present at all community events centered around dogs, cats, and small animals. These pop up events typically serve to get the word out about our services and we love to provide a nail trim onsite if a client is in need.

Our Clients:

With many grooming options around, we have cultivated a unique cliental looking for a convenient nail care experience. Many of our clients are groomed or bathed at home by their parents who may find it difficult to safely trim their nails. We also service many elderly or anxious fur-friends who may find it easier to have us come to them, or who have been asked to leave grooming salons for being too excited.

With the proper technique, and a focus on our client’s comfort, we keep up with their nail care and provide a much more relaxing and positive experience.

About the Job:

The role will require driving to each clients house to perform a nail trim and additional services (ear cleaning, pad moisturizing, pad shaving). Most clients are on a fixed schedule allowing them to get to know you and become more comfortable with the services.

The role will also require working some of our pop up events. These usually consist of a 4 hour tent pop up at pet centered events around Ventura County. The pop ups are a great way to gain new clients by providing information about our services as well as providing services onsite during these events.

We are looking to fill three 8 hour shifts a week. Friday and Saturday 10AM-6PM, and a third day of your choosing. We are flexible, for the right candidate we will consider same days, different hours. This role will be growing with the company and will have the opportunity for more shifts.

Our ideal candidate loves animals and is confident reading their body language to understand their needs and discomforts. They are kind, gentle, and safe when interacting with our clients and put the clients comfort above all else. They thrive working independently and arrive on time with a professional and friendly demeanor. Someone who has a clean driving history and can represent our brand while safely driving from appointment to appointment. Communication and education surrounding nail care is vital in our relationships with our clients pawrents; being able to effectively communicate is a necessary skill for this role. We are a small team and want to find passionate people that have a desire to provide quality care for the animals of our community, as well as grow with the company.

Responsibilities:

Prepare for your day by checking your mobile route.

Drive to the client's home and perform nail trim services (appointments are typically less than 15 minutes from arrival to payment.)

Accept payment for services provided and reschedule/confirm next routine appointment

Uphold safety standards and follow procedures for nail trimming.

Provide excellent customer service and ensure the well-being of clients during nail trims.

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with a clean record (no driving tickets or accidents in the last 3 years).

Reliable and insured mode of transportation for traveling to customer homes.

Previous experience working with animals, preferably as a vet tech, dog groomer, or similar role - Must already know how to trim and grind nails.

Must be able to be on the ground with larger dogs, bend to accommodate smaller dogs, have the ability to lift 40lbs, and walk from car to house/apartment repeatedly throughout the day.

Comfortable using technology, including iPhones and basic booking software.

Benefits:

First two weeks of training are paid at $16/hr.

After completing training, pay raises to $23/hr plus tips.
