Education and Skills Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in the mechanical field.
- A personal toolset is required; diagnostic and manufacturer-specific tools will be provided.
- A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred, but it is not mandatory.
- Vocational education or certification is a plus.
- Capability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Maintain a professional personal appearance.
- Proficient in mathematics for problem-solving.
- Clear English communication skills; additional language skills are an advantage.
Position Tasks & Activities:
- Keep precise records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and fuel levels.
- Inform the supervisor of warranty situations before starting repairs.
- Complete work orders for both internal and external repairs.
- Report equipment failures and safety violations to the supervisor.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
- Apply professional troubleshooting techniques for equipment repair.
- Maintain company vehicles.
- Assist yard, warehouse, and delivery personnel as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Extended periods of standing.
- Indoor and outdoor work environments with general warehouse conditions; some areas may lack heating or air conditioning.
- Interaction with co-workers and the public.
- Frequent lifting, walking, bending, and moving objects of varying weights and sizes.
- Exposure to chemicals, including gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene, and cleaning solvents. A good sense of smell is required due to the potential hazards associated with propane.
