We are looking for a part time driver to join our team. Deliveries are mostly mon-thur so you must be available all four days in case we are busy. The day starts at 5:30 am and you will begin your job at our warehouse in Carpinteria. You will load your own truck with our forklift and then head out on the road. Since orders fluctuate each week there is a little bit of flexibility. Some weeks are lighter than others. Regardless, this job is physically challenging and you must be able to lift 40 lbs, operate heavy equipment, and you must have a clean driving record. You will be picking up very large orders from farmers, and delivering the product back to our warehouse. Mostly however, you will be delivering our farm boxes to drop off points and whole cases of produce to cafeterias in the Ventura area. You will be responsible for driving our new refrigerated box truck throughout Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. You must be organized, friendly, calm, and must be time efficient. Must be familiar with using an electric pallet jack and forklift. Must be able to speak fluent english.
We will be drug testing for this position at the start of hire and periodically throughout the year.
