Pay range : $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY STATEMENT
Support the transportation department, export/import and parcel functions in daily reporting, invoicing, scheduling, tracking, and analysis. Maintain delivery, tracking and billing data. Provide consolidated data in the form of reports and metrics to internal and external customers. Monitor and analyze issues to enhance visibility.
Communicate weekly status reports to supervisor/manager. Enhance the distribution center administrative function by providing a strong, well-rounded administrative skill set and work ethic. Occasional overtime may be required.
Manages a high volume of work in a moderately pressured but friendly environment.
Attention to detail and sense of urgency is critical. Must manage conflicting priorities of various people you support through excellent time management and communication skills. Develop and maintain productive, effective, and professional relationships with peers, superiors, auditors, and others. Represent the company in a positive and supportive manner at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Import/Export:
Work with internal groups and external brokers to deliver critical duty information, track and report status of shipments to and from International locations, review and code export invoices.
Transportation Administration: Review, code, and verify all transportation invoices. Create and maintain reports and metrics to track costs and performance. Communicate internally and externally to schedule, route, and track shipments/containers.
Parcel Administration: Work to optimize company parcel program through recording data, working with 3rd party vendors (parcel shippers and auditors), maintaining reports and metrics to track costs and performance.
Functional Competencies:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write/create reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Demonstrated ability with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Intermediate Excel skills preferred.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and vendors.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing, with exceptional attention to detail.
Fluent in English
Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Drivers License
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED, Associates Degree in Business or related field preferred
2-4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
