Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Automotive Mechanic and Fabricator to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with foundational experience in automotive repair and fabrication, ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll be responsible for performing repairs, conducting diagnostics, and working on custom fabrication projects, contributing to our team’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Automotive Maintenance & Repair
Assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting for a range of automotive issues.
Perform maintenance tasks such as brake repairs, suspension work, and basic electrical diagnostics.
Ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards.
2. Custom Fabrication
Support custom fabrication projects, including welding, cutting, and shaping parts as needed for vehicle builds.
Modify vehicle components, such as exhaust systems, frames, and brackets, according to project specifications.
Keep work areas organized and ensure all tools and equipment are maintained.
3. Technical Skills & Development
Work with the team on challenging projects, developing and refining skills in both mechanics and fabrication.
Participate in team discussions to plan and execute projects, often requiring creative problem-solving.
Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques to continuously improve skills.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training in automotive repair or fabrication preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years of hands-on experience in automotive repair and/or fabrication. Skills: Basic understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
Familiarity with hand and power tools, welding equipment, and basic fabrication techniques.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, heat, and various materials.
