Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at [Apartment Complex]. This role is responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep and maintenance of the property, including responding to service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and maintaining common areas and equipment in a safe and functional condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and work orders
Diagnose and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general building systems
Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems and apartment units
Turn vacant units for new occupancy, including painting, cleaning, and repairs
Maintain the grounds, including trash pickup, landscaping tasks, and snow/ice removal as needed
Inspect property regularly to identify potential safety or maintenance issues
Collaborate with property management to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently
Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good working order
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes
Provide emergency on-call service as scheduled
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training a plus
2+ years of experience in apartment or property maintenance preferred
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed
Availability for occasional evening/weekend emergency calls
