Job Overview:
We’re looking for two reliable, hard-working individuals to help install and assemble six gym machines at a local gym. This is a short-term project that involves unloading heavy equipment from trucks, assembling machines using power tools, and making sure everything is set up safely and correctly. We need people who can start right away, so if you have mechanical or construction experience—and can handle heavy lifting—this could be a great opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Loading & Unloading:
Safely move and unload gym equipment from truck trailers.
Organize parts and tools for easy access.
2. Equipment Assembly:
Build and assemble six gym machines, following written instructions or diagrams.
Use power tools like drills, wrenches, and screwdrivers.
Double-check all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure safety.
3. Site Preparation:
Keep the work area clean and free of hazards (e.g., packaging materials, loose parts).
Help position equipment in the correct spots on the gym floor.
4. Safety Compliance:
Follow proper safety guidelines at all times, including wearing protective gear.
Watch for and report any potential hazards or mechanical issues.
5. Communication:
Work closely with the team lead, asking questions when unclear.
Update the team on progress or any challenges during assembly.
Requirements:
1. Experience:
Previous experience with assembly, construction, or similar hands-on work is a plus.
Comfortable using power tools and basic hand tools.
2. Physical Capabilities:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
Stamina to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
3. Reliability & Attitude:
Show up on time every day, ready to work.
Follow instructions and work well in a small team setting.
4. Payment & Schedule:
$25 per hour, paid at the end of each workday via Venmo.
Work is expected to last a full day or more, depending on progress.
Start date: Immediate—positions open until filled.
5. Transportation & Safety Gear:
Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
Bring your own basic safety gear (closed-toe shoes, work gloves).
