Job Overview:
Cookie Crock Market in beautiful Cambria, CA is currently seeking a reliable, professional and customer service-oriented individual to fill a full time assistant manager position. Friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic individuals are encouraged to apply. Some experience with staff management, scheduling, ordering and inventory is extremely valuable.
Duties:
- As part of the deli team, you will prepare deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and wraps, cut meats and cheeses,
and dish deli salads.
- Serve customers with a friendly and helpful attitude
- Operate deli equipment efficiently and safely
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area
- Clean, stock and create displays for Deli foods and merchandise as needed.
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and a professional demeanor.
- Adhere to Health Department codes and mandates and assist other deli employees with doing the same.
- Assist the deli manager with management tasks such as personnel scheduling and management, placing inventory
orders, and taking inventory.
- Assume the role of deli manager when the manager is off duty.
Qualifications:
Experience in the food industry or related field is preferred.
Motivated, independent thinker with a strong work ethic.
Sales experience and creativity is a plus.
Knowledge of food safety guidelines.
Ability to work weekends and evenings if needed.

The job being offered today is a full-time position. You will begin accruing paid vacation on your first day of work.
