Marine Technician/Apprentice
Hans' Boat Works has been serving the boating industry for over 18 years and we pride ourselves in our service and boat sales. We are currently looking for the right candidate to work in our service department - which includes everything from washing boats and cleaning the shop to oil changes and engine rebuilds. We frequently work on boats that cost over $100,000 or more and need someone that is very detail oriented, willing to learn, take direction, train, ask questions when they don't understand and wants to stay long-term. Since we are a small business, our ideal applicant needs to be willing to multitask and have a positive attitude. This is a full-time, permanent position and must be available to work Monday thru Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and some Saturdays and overtime in the summer months. This job does offer sick and vacation pay with medical benefits.
Typical Duties:
⢠Shop maintenance (cleaning, sweeping floors, cleaning work benches, keeping area tidy)
⢠Oil changes, tune-ups, impellers
⢠Wash boats
⢠Paint prep and work
⢠Helping customers find parts
⢠Customer service
Requirements:
⢠Mechanically inclined (doesn't need prior marine experience but attention to detail and a basic knowledge of how things work is essential)
⢠Excellent customer service and communication
⢠Detail Oriented
⢠Organized
⢠Ability to multi-task
⢠Ability to meet deadlines
⢠Punctual and reliable
