To ensure the continued excellent condition of our fleet, we are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Engine Maintenance Position to join our team.
Classic Charter Visalia is looking for a Detroit Diesel/Cummins Engine Mechanic. Daily duties will be working on engines in our charter bus fleet which consist of:
Detroit Diesel Engines from 2012 to Current
Cummins Diesel Engines from 2014 to Current
Specific requirements of this position:
Complete working knowledge of diesel engines and their assemblies.
Disassembles and performs partial or complete overhauls on Diesel engines.
Complete tune-ups and repairs of diesel engines
Uses gauges, special tools, and specialized electronic equipment to diagnose mechanical failure or problems. Ability to use any and all maintenance/repair manual, parts catalog and maintenance software to rebuild engines in fleet.
Two years’ experience in the field building engines from breakdown to full assembly
Communicates with manufacturer representatives concerning repairs, parts and diagnostic equipment.
Diesel Mechanic relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job
Ability to work in a small team environment
Has a B license or has committed to taking a class to be completed within a specified time frame.
