Systems Administrator

Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal Systems Administrator will be responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of our ticketing system and application error logs, ensuring the seamless operation of various systems critical to our organization's functionality. The Systems Administrator will play a key role in managing and supporting platforms such as Active Directory, Canvas, LanSchool, ClassLink, Google Workspace, Aeries, and Quintessential School Systems. Additionally, proficiency in PowerShell scripting is required to automate tasks and enhance system efficiency.Responsibilities:

Ticketing System Management:

Monitor and maintain the organization's ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of IT issues.

Regularly review and address tickets, providing efficient solutions to end-users.

Collaborate with other IT professionals to streamline and optimize the ticketing process.

Application Error Logs:

Monitor and analyze application error logs to proactively identify and address potential issues.

Work closely with software developers to troubleshoot and resolve application errors promptly.

Active Directory Management:

Administer and maintain the organization's Active Directory environment.

Implement security policies, user access controls, and group policies.

Troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory-related issues.

Platform Support:

Provide technical support for platforms including Canvas, LanSchool, ClassLink, Google Workspace, Aeries, and Quintessential School Systems.

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve platform-related issues.

PowerShell Scripting:

Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.

Use scripting to create custom solutions for specific IT requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.

In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Canvas, LanSchool, Classlink, Google Workspace, Aeries, and Quintessential School Systems.

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and task optimization.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.
