Oro Jewelry & Loan specializes in loans on jewelry, tools, electronics and firearms. Our first pawnshop was established in 2009; we now have three locations and are looking for energetic individuals to join our team and help in the development and evolution of our stores.
We are currently seeking part and fulltime employees to join our team. It is our hope that at our shops, you will find not only a career, but also a place to call home.
As a loan writer, you will be the face of our store. You will also be responsible for cultivating a positive atmosphere and experience for customers within the store; this includes evaluating loan prices, executing loans and transactions, developing and maintaining professional relationships with customers, ensuring that all customer's transactions are handled in a respectful, courteous and friendly manner.
Our ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a good grasp of computer technology. Strong math skills are a must. Candidates should also possess good customer service skills, an upbeat demeanor, a clean and professional appearance, reliable transportation, and the ability to stay calm in emotionally charged situations.
Candidates must be willing to undergo a full DOJ background check and a drug test, which will include testing for marijuana.
Scheduling is flexible but will include weekends and some minor Federal holidays.
No specific job experience is required, but helpful experience would include customer service, banking or financial experience, or experience with electronics, musical instruments, firearms or jewelry.
