Matchbook Wine Company is seeking a hard-working and reliable person to work in a fast-paced environment as a forklift operator.
Summary of Essential Job Duties:
Operation of a standard propane or electric sit down forklift
Moving full and empty wine barrels on racks
Loading and unloading goods from trucks
Moving goods packed on pallets
Stacking barrels and pallets in the correct areas
Performing daily equipment checks
Performing other cellar tasks as assigned by management including topping, barrel filling and cleaning, etc
Ability to work safely in a fast paced environment
Adheres to all safety practices and company policies
Required Knowledge and Skills
Good written and spoken English
Ability to learn and adapt to changing conditions
Team player
Must have reliable transportation
Must be punctual and maintain good attendance
Must be available to work overtime and on weekends as needed (mostly harvest late August through early October)
Ability to lift and move 50 pounds
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED
Forklift experience, 2 years with barrels preferred
