Job Title: Assistant Purchase Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

The Assistant Purchase Manager will play a crucial role in our procurement team, responsible for ordering parts and materials, picking up parts and materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Parts and Materials:

Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of parts and materials.

Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Pick Up Parts and Materials:

Coordinate and perform pickups of parts and materials from local suppliers as needed.

Ensure proper handling and transportation of materials to maintain quality and integrity.

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring that stock levels are adequate to meet production needs.

Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records promptly.

Supplier Relations:

Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective procurement.

Address and resolve any issues related to supplier performance, quality, or delivery.

Administrative Support:

Assist in preparing reports and analysis related to purchasing and inventory management.

Support the Purchasing Manager in various administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Administration, supply chain management, or a related field experience is preferred.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and inventory management software.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for picking up parts and materials.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
