The Carpenter is responsible for the full range of rough and finished skilled carpentry work, and will work from blueprints, specifications, drawings and instructions to build, remodel, retrofit, maintain and repair various types of healthcare facilities; inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations; participate in the safety, maintenance, and operation of the jobsite.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Construct, remodel, retrofit and repair interior and exterior structures made of steel, wood, drywall, plaster, concrete or brick.
-Construct, retrofit, and repair cabinets, tables, shelves, benches, partitions, flooring, door and window frames, and other types of furniture. May install and repair modular furniture.
-Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate and service equipment used in the performance of duties.
-Prepare the layout of the project.
-Ability to read and understand plans and specs.
-Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions.
-Select materials.
-Work with instructions from supervisors.
-Work with metal studs and drywall.
-Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
-Work on ladders.
-Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications.
-Use levels, rules, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES CONT.:
-Install cabinets and molding.
-Replace ceiling tiles, and doors.
-Install partitions, doors, and windows.
-Move and install equipment.
-Install, patch and finish gypsum board surfaces
-Move and install wall mounted equipment
Previous carpentry experience is required!
Commercial Framing and Sheetrock experience is a plus
Travel throughout the region is required for this position
