The technician would prepare samples for Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) utilizing direct and indirect prep methods.  The technician would, in addition, prepare and analyze samples for Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM).  Technician would be responsible for sample preparations as described within laboratory Standard Operating Procedures, accurately entering data in the LIMS, reporting to clients, and general laboratory maintenance and cleaning.ResponsibilitiesPrepare Air, Dust, Wipe and Water samples for analysis by TEMPrepare and analyze Air samples by PCMAccurately enter laboratory observations and data into the LIMSBe able to work independently while coordinating work with co-workersPerforms and completes necessary and assigned laboratory QC tasksArchiving and disposal of samplesPerform laboratory cleaning tasks of glassware, equipment, and surfacesFollow all company policies and proceduresCalibrate and prepare TEM grids for use in preparation proceduresUnderstand and follow laboratory Standard Operating ProceduresBe available for on call rotationOther duties as assigned
