The Behavioral Health Specialist is a critical role in the psychiatric care of

direct patient care and safety including supervision and management of
children and adolescents.
The Clinical Resource Team allocates centralized staffing resources by
floating across the organization, to address staffing variances, and
provide clinical expertise to safeguard quality patient care

Annual Salary Range: $19.93 to $29.00 / Hourly Salary
Hours per week: Part time and Full time positions are available. Please list

Shift: There are a variety of shifts available for this role. Please
identify your preferences in the questions within the application.
Please note: The Behavioral Health Specialist may begin their shift in one
unit and based on a change in census and acuity be reallocated to a different
unit to meet operational needs. However, it is also possible for the
Behavioral Health Specialist to experience extended periods of time in one
department to offset long-term absences through the Months Program
Make an Impact
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree with a minor in psychology or related field
Equivalency: Professional relevant experience may substitute for the
bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
Certification(s): Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR certification
Job Highlights:
Provides direct patient care and management of children and adolescents while
under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed psychiatric
professional.
Leads, monitors and collaborates educational and therapeutic groups for
patients.
Participates in clinical rounds, maintains communication with unit or
department leadership.
Responds as part of the Behavioral Assistance Resource Team; provides
assistance to patients, family members or visitors 18 years of age and
younger exhibiting the potential for harm to self or others.
Ensures proper documentation of patient progress; completes 15-minute
patient checks; provides one-to-one patient observation and or milieu
