Dawson, a K-12 independent school of 535 students located east of Boulder on a beautiful 112-acre campus, seeks an exceptional full-time Fourth Grade Lead Teacher starting August 1, 2024. Previous classroom experience is required, and a graduate degree is preferred. Professional and Personal Qualifications
-A bachelor’s degree in Early Education or a related field is required
-3+ years teaching experience required
-Demonstrated classroom management skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-High level of skill in teaching mathematics via concrete and abstract methods
-Strong understanding of the science of reading and a proven ability to teach all readers using phonemic and phonological awareness
-An attitude that exemplifies teamwork and personal responsibility
-Ability to include technology elements into all aspects of instruction
-Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters

Duties/Responsibilities
-Report to Director of Lower School
-Actively participate in the extracurricular life of the School
-Participate in class trips, clubs, and Winterim
-Additional duties as deemed necessary by the School
The salary range for this position is $45,000-$70,000. Compensation is commensurate with experience and relevant skills. Benefits include Medical, Dental, 401k, and generous time-off.
