Edaphic Solutions is a Colorado-based natural land care company founded in 2016. We specialize in compost teas, plant ferments, and steam weeding as regenerative tools for healthier landscapes. Our mission is to restore soil health, support resilient ecosystems, and eliminate the need for toxic chemical treatments. We currently serve over 200 residential clients across the Boulder and Denver areas, along with a handful of farms and institutional partners.
Role Overview
This is a seasonal position that runs April through December, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time, salaried Operations Manager role. You’ll begin as a Spray Assistant—supporting compost tea applications and fieldwork—then grow into managing day-to-day operations, team leadership, logistics, and client coordination. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, passionate about sustainability, and excited to lead a growing regenerative land care business.
Phase 1: Spray Assistant Duties (Training Phase)
Assist in applying compost tea and deep root tree injections on client properties
Operate large company trucks and spray equipment
Brew, clean, and maintain compost tea equipment
Communicate clearly with clients on-site about Edaphic's services
Educate clients on sustainable yard care and answer basic soil health questions
Help track and record data on brews, applications, and site conditions
Represent Edaphic Solutions at community events or sustainability outreach efforts
Phase 2: Operations Manager Duties (Upon Promotion)
Operational Management
Oversee day-to-day field operations to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency
Manage scheduling and logistics for all compost tea and steam weeding projects
Coordinate with team members and clients to ensure seamless service delivery
Staff Supervision
Lead and mentor field staff with professionalism and clarity
Run team meetings and provide regular performance feedback
Project Coordination
Plan and oversee compost tea and steam weeding jobs from start to finish
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to high standards
Inventory & Supplies
Track, manage, and order supplies for all operational needs
Maintain equipment and ensure all tools are in safe working order
Customer Relations
Build lasting relationships with clients and local collaborators
Handle service issues quickly and professionally to uphold company values
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate records of job activities, client feedback, and team progress
Quality Control
Implement and uphold compost tea brewing and application standards
Ensure adherence to environmental safety protocols and internal SOPs
Invoicing & Financial Management
Generate and send invoices
Track client payments and maintain organized payment records
Collaborate with accounting for accurate financial reporting
Strategic Planning
Contribute to long-term growth planning and operations development
Identify systems improvements and efficiencies to scale impact
Ideal Candidate Qualities
Experience in landscaping, regenerative ag, or eco-yard care preferred
Comfortable working outdoors and lifting 50+ lbs
Excellent communication and leadership potential
Organized, tech-savvy, and highly accountable
Passion for sustainability, soil biology, and community-scale environmental work
Ready to lead a team and take ownership of daily operations within 8-10 months
Compensation Pathway
Phase 1: $20/hour, 20–35 hrs/week seasonal role
Phase 2: $40,000/year salaried Operations Manager
Active Season (Apr–Nov): $4,166.67/month
Off-Season (Dec–Mar): $1,666.67/month
Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate (if approved)
14 days PTO per year + CO sick leave accrual
