We are an Equal Opportunity employer, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.Who We AreA successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary research team of engineers utilizing the broad testing capabilities of the Center for Infrastructure, Energy, and Space Testing (CIEST), which includes the Geotechnical Centrifuge, Structural Dynamics, and Materials Testing Laboratories. Under common management, the Center makes its outstanding testing capabilities and research personnel available to academic, government, and industry users from a wide variety of engineering and earth science fields.What Your Key Responsibilities Will BeImplementation and oversight of laboratory safety procedures and associated training of undergraduate and graduate studentsStrong technical skills for collaborating with external/internal faculty and project sponsors; including advanced servo-hydraulics, hybrid testing, centrifuge operation, instrumentation and data analysis/visualization/reporting.Oversight of project/laboratory operations, working with students and other staff to complete regular initiatives and support classes, independently and regularly identify/schedule short- and longer-term goals that improve efficiency and quality, in consultation with Center management.What We Can OfferThe hourly salary range associated with this position is $45.00 to $53.00.BenefitsTemporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave (https://www.colorado.edu/hr/leave#sick-89) .Be StatementsBe impactful. 10 years experience working in large-scale laboratory setting

B.S. degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent
