This Boulder, Colorado area-based position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. The ideal candidate for this position can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close.Major responsibilities
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
