Job DescriptionA company in the Boulder, CO area is looking for Software Engineers to join their team in support of classified IRAD / R&D programs. The SW Engineer will be responsible for researching and identifying highly complex and multi-faceted problems. Qualified candidates will have experience in C programing as well as algorithm design and development. Radar and OPIR domain knowledge strongly preferred. As an Algorithm/Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, testing, and implementing extendable / reusable algorithms to improve state estimation and backend processes. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to providing documentation to supply tracking algorithms including observation models, propagation models, and filters / smoothers.
Breadth and depth in the application of mathematics to perform data analysis and algorithm development for military applications
Development and performance analysis of tracking and state estimation algorithms
Tool and prototype development using Modern C and Python
Algorithm defect tracking and resolution
Technical Documentation as required
This is a contract to hire for a large aerospace and defense technology company in Boulder, CO.Pay Range: 110-206K annually. Exact compensation will vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Active DoD Secret Security clearance
Bachelor's degree in STEM (Mathematics, Aerospace, Physics preferred) and 5+ years of experience (or MS and 3+ yrs)
Proficiency with C programming
Experience with tracking algorithms including Kalman filters, non-linear least squares, etc.
RADAR and OPIR domain knowledge
Experience with Matlab or Python - Background in applied mathematics and physics, particularly continuous/numerical optimization, numerical analysis, probability, and statistics
Experience with Qt and development of GUIs null
