Responsible for product Life Cycle management of products in their portfolio, including building and leveraging market/customer & competitive insights to establish product 0–2-year forecast, understanding and using the DBS toolkit including fundamental tools (PSP, SW, 5S), and lean tools (TPI, VSM) to drive KPIs across all product aspects of quality, sales and support, and contributing to and executing product obsolescence and discontinuation strategy.

Serve as a subject matter expert for product uses and target markets/customers with continuous analysis of trends, competitors, channels, standards inclusive of recommending actions that drive product line performance.

Develop annual strategic plan and pricing strategy to achieve annual product revenue and margin growth objectives. Lead development, execution, and creation of targeted marketing messaging/content and sales tools including new and in-market product training. Partner with Regional Marketing and Product Marketing to execute Marketing plan.

Contribute to the development of the product strategy for our Custom Oligonucleotides portfolio, with a focus on cross-divisional collaboration that prioritizes customer needs, portfolio roadmaps, and integration into the IDT value proposition. Partner with Product Development on New Product Commercialization content. Collaborate directly with customers to support product development through agile innovation

Prioritize and create product management standard work to be leveraged across all of the Business Units. Partner with Quality and Operations on quality and supply issues to optimize inventory, reduce backorder, minimize scrap risks, drive margin expansion and own communication to the commercial teams and customers when necessary.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree in Life Science (chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, etc.), Business, Marketing, or other relevant field

5+ years of experience in Product Management or Commercial Marketing

3+ years of experience with demonstrated experience launching products and meeting financial and revenue goals

5+ years of experience in Life Science, Diagnostics, Biotechnology, or related scientific industry’

Ability and willingness to travel up <25% of time domestically and internationally

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Advanced degree (Master’s, PhD, MBA) in Life Science (chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, etc.), Business, Marketing, or other relevant field

7+ years of experience in Product Management or Commercial Marketing, especially in customer-facing roles

5+ years of experience with demonstrated experience launching products and meeting financial and revenue goals

7+ years of experience in Life Science, Diagnostics, Biotechnology, or related scientific industry

5+ years of demonstrated experience and strong business acumen with cross-functional roles inclusive of finance, sales, operations, and/or marketing

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $160,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
