Support Material Quality Assurance / Receiving Inspection
Directly interface with inspectors, quality engineers, program engineers, and suppliers addressing and resolving delivery anomalies and product conformance issues.
Assisting with inspection, revising inspection work instructions, and process improvement.
Interface with programs and supply management for QAP and other PO related issues discovered in MQA.
Review common trends of delivery anomalies and work with Supplier Quality Engineering to develop supplier corrective actions.
Perform Gage R&R, capability studies, implement and monitor SPC results on various measurement machines.
Assist in technology and equipment assessments in MQA.
Create reports and presentations statusing supplier actions.
Assist with workforce training and other duties as assigned.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
What you’ll need:
High School diploma or equivalent plus 12 years or more related experience or a related 2-year technical degree and 10 years or more related experience.
Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor’s or Master’s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Detail oriented.
Previous experience with AS9100, receiving inspection, exposure to engineering and product planning.
ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T knowledge.
EEE component knowledge helpful.
Ability to work with many different customers / stakeholders with a strong emphasis on customer service and interpersonal skills.
Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to learn and implement new technology.
The ability to work multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Knowledgeable in or have the ability to learn about quality management systems and their function at Ball Aerospace suppliers.
Proven critical thinking skills.
Proven ability to multi-task in a technical / engineering support role.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, clean room, or production floor.
Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
