Type: Full-time, Weekend Availability Required
Wage: $22/hr-$27/hr base, raise opportunities in first 90-days!
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Establish daily work assignments, and directs flow of same to completion
- Establish weekly work assignments, and directs flow of same to completion
- Establish annual work assignments, and directs flow of same to completion
- Review all completed work orders, and inspects completed work as needed to ensure accuracy and quality
- Communicate incomplete, inaccurate or unsatisfactory work to service providers and disputes work order invoices as needed
- Assist all department heads in handling any unusual maintenance related guest complaints
- Ensure scheduling an completion to standard of all required preventive maintenance operations
- Assist engineers/technicians in diagnosis of problems related to equipment malfunction
- Coordinate all training programs for maintenance department personnel
- Provide supervision/support to all maintenance staff on a daily basis
- Ensure maintenance shop adherence to cleanliness and safety standards
- Maintain storeroom and maintenance shop inventories and organization
- Attend all required hotel meetings to keep abreast of in-house activities/promotions and events; maintain communications with other departments within the hotel
- Assist Management in monitoring energy consumption, maintaining equipment and supply inventories
- Assist Management in the preparation of ADA compliance checklist
- Assist front desk and housekeeping departments in communicating Maintenance Request needs to Management as needed
- Administer: key control system, tool control procedures, credit card control
- Work with Management with regard to all repairs and maintenance of electronic/hard key locking systems to insure secure nature of all materials, supplies and information
- Perform scheduled periodic inspections and maintenance on all property assets to ensure assets are to standard
- Follow New Hire Training in accordance with hotel policy
- Report to Management all maintenance budgets, forecasts and schedules
- Establish and ensures adherence to all department and Hotels guidelines, policies and procedures
- Review daily records maintaining labor cost within established budgetary guidelines
- Maintain open communications with all hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Other duties as assigned

THE NITTY GRITTY
- Three to five years as a Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Supervisor, preferably in a Hospitality environment
- Working knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Refrigeration, Energy Management operating systems preferred
- Ability to read and interpret architectural/blue-line drawings preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, equipment operation and maintenance, record-keeping systems required
- Effective time management, organizational and communication skills required
- Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends, special events and holidays required
- Ability to work on ladders and lift 50lbs required
- Ability to crouch, sit, kneel, crawl, bend over, push, pull, grip and walk required
- Ability to walk property as needed as well as use heavy machinery or vehicles required
The applicant we seek has a great attitude, tireless work ethic, and passion for the outdoor and hospitality industries. Experience in hotel or commercial property and facility maintenance is preferred. Passion for outdoor adventure is a plus!
This position supports A-Lodge management in maintaining the property assets to the highest level by providing expert assessment, communication, execution and reporting of maintenance needs while diligently creating, tweaking and managing preventive and routine asset maintenance schedules. This position is also responsible for participating in various aspects of general day to day operations, preparing reports related to department operations, assisting in staffing and training as needed, and monitoring all PM programs for property.

The Hotel Maintenance Technician meets weekly with the General Manager to discuss maintenance operations, projects, work orders, seasonal property and room standards, and various property and facility maintenance needs. Performance reviews will be scheduled to provide feedback and set goals for improvement and role development where needed. This position will not be responsible for conducting employee evaluations but is expected to lead with empathy, honesty and integrity when working with all employees.
The salary range for this role’s listed level is currently $20.96/hr - $26.96/hr (target salary range for this role is $22/hr - $27/hr). Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
