job title: Part Time Chef Instructor
Overview:
Food Lab is looking for a part time Chef Instructor with great teaching, culinary and and people skills! We are a very busy recreational cooking school with 10-20 classes a week + with a second location in Denver set to open in Spring of 2025. Our goal is to make the guest the hero in the kitchen, through having fun and instructing.
Duties:
- Teach cooking classes to kids and adults by following our menus and guidelines that have been in place for 9 years.
Skills:
- Extensive experience in the food service or restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, kitchen operations, cooking techniques, knife skills, and sanitation practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively educate and engage adult learners.
- Passion for teaching
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
Weekend + holiday availability necessary
Position is seasonal for the month of December with potential to expand into 2025
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
