We are seeking an experienced and passionate pastry cook to join our team. Your expertise in preparing a variety of desserts, combined with your creativity in developing unique recipes, will be essential in delighting our guests.
Responsibilities:
Consult with Sous Chef and other chefs to plan menus
Ability and skill to make pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, sweets, breads, ice creams, sorbet and pies
Preparing and maintaining pastries for the restaurant
Maintain and abide by state sanitation guidelines
Maintain inventory of pastry ingredients and communicate ordering needs
Hours:
The pastry cook position is part time based on restaurant needs. Roughly 16-20 hours per week.
Qualifications/Experience:
Proficient in English
Ability to stand on your feet for several hours
High School diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
Certification of culinary training or apprenticeship preferred.
Demonstrates adequate pastry skills and operations
Be able to plan and prepare for restaurant, catering and special events
