Our dynamic and community-centered organization is looking to add talented, conscientious, and motivated Facilities Staff to the team. The primary role of this position is to help with event setup, building maintenance, exterior needs, and be a friendly, helpful presence. The facilities staff serves as one of the most important ambassadors for the Boulder JCC as they are interacting with and creating an inviting space for everyone who comes on site.

This position requires an affinity to work both independently and collaboratively to handle varied requests and proactively anticipate changing needs. In addition to being organized and detail-oriented, success in this position depends on your welcoming disposition, proactive approach to projects, a desire and willingness to learn new skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Perform general maintenance, restocking of supplies, landscaping, and event setup/teardown as needed

Interface with organizations using Boulder JCC space to assure appropriate plans for set-up and clean up are in place

Provide assistance to the Event and Rental Director and Facilities Director leading up to and during public and private special events

Supervise caterers and other service staff

Proactively check in with Facilities team about what needs to be done

Serve as a point of contact and ensure a warm, welcoming, and helpful experience for community members, event rentals, and staff

Continually optimize processes, including identifying best practices, and working efficiently

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This is a non-exempt position with a rate range of $18.86-21.95/hour commensurate with experience for up to 40 hours per week. Benefits for part-time staff include 403B with a generous employer match and paid time off (sick, vacation, and holidays). A hiring Bonus of $1000 (pro-rated based on hours worked) with half paid out at 6 months and the remainder at 9 months.

The anticipated closing date for this role is October 24, 2025.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Some experience and/or a strong desire to learn skills in general maintenance and landscaping

Demonstrated customer-service orientation; welcoming, positive attitude and capacity to adapt

Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends

Enjoy being helpful and supporting a wide variety of events

Clear, professional, and effective written and verbal communications

Excellent organization and attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position works a variety of hours. While performing regular duties, you will be required to sit, stand, reach, walk, or kneel, and to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
